Manifesta purposely strives to keep its distance from what are often seen as the dominant centres of artistic production, instead seeking fresh and fertile terrain for the mapping of a new cultural topography.

Manifesta 13 Marseille was one of the only international biennials to take place during the global pandemic COVID-19, the biennial ended earlier than planned due to the second national lockdown

Chiara Camoni, IT

Chiara Camoni lives and works in Fabbiano, in the Apuan Alps of Alta Versilia, Tuscany. Her practice consists of drawing, vegetal prints, video and sculpture, particularly with ceramics. Her works often derive from collaboration with friends and family, impromptu associations, co-organised seminars and workshops.

The Centro di Sperimentazione has appeared at the artist’s side for a few years now as a container for various forms of shared authorship. With Cecilia Canziani, she has developed the multi-year cycle of seminars “La Giusta Misura”.
