Manifesta purposely strives to keep its distance from what are often seen as the dominant centres of artistic production, instead seeking fresh and fertile terrain for the mapping of a new cultural topography.
Manifesta 15 Barcelona took place in Barcelona and 11 surrounding cities of its metropolitan region.

Video installation exhibited at Stazione Ferroviaria in Rovereto
This video constituted a hybrid narrative between cinema and architecture. Norwegian artist Knut Åsdam invited the viewer on a journey through continuous urban based structures built up from various cities, regions and landscapes with diverse political, economic, cultural and social features.
