Lorenzo Sandoval operates as an artist, filmmaker and curator. His work spans different disciplines, creating spaces for encounter through his art works, films, architectural pieces and collaborations. He researches on the connections between textile, computation and image production, in relation with systems of redistribution with the long-term project Shadow Writing. The project has been featured at LABoral in Gijón (2017), Nottingham Contemporary (2018), Museo Amano in Lima (2019), Göteborg Biennial (2019), IVAM Alcoi (2019), Centro Párraga (2020) and Kindl in Berlin (2023). Sandoval was part of the Miracle Workers Collective representing Finland in the Venice Biennale in 2019 curated by Bonaventure Ndikung. In 2018, he started the research for his current film and art project “Aquel Verano del 22”, exploring the connections between mining in La Unión, construction in La Manga and agroindustry in Mar Menor, in relation to the rights of nature. In 2015, Sandoval founded The Institute for Endotic Research (TIER).
