Manifesta purposely strives to keep its distance from what are often seen as the dominant centres of artistic production, instead seeking fresh and fertile terrain for the mapping of a new cultural topography.

Installation

The installation by Italian collective Stalker represented an imaginary infrastructure crossing the borders between East and West. They brought thousands of soccer balls to the heart of Ljubljana, on which there were written the names, stories and desires of those who line the borders of Europe.
