Manifesta purposely strives to keep its distance from what are often seen as the dominant centres of artistic production, instead seeking fresh and fertile terrain for the mapping of a new cultural topography.
Bulgarian artist Dr Galentin Gatev followed for several months the road trip of four priests across a region near Sofia. The journey, as well as the various problems caused by the technical failures of the vehicles, were filmed for this installation and projected in an underground car park together with a mannequin of a perpetually rotating priest seated on a motorcycle.
