Manifesta 15 Barcelona announces Artistic Team
Artistic Team of Manifesta 15 Barcelona.
The Artistic Team includes 11 representatives from the different cities of the metropolitan region, Manifesta’s Artistic Creative Mediator and the biennial’s Director. The representatives from the different cities are prominent figures within the cultural scene of their city and of Barcelona, and their valuable contributions will ensure that the 15th edition of Manifesta is heavily aligned within the local context.
As with previous editions of Manifesta, we have moved away from the “curator and exhibition” format, and have invited Portuguese curator Filipa Oliveira to act as the Creative Mediator for the 15th edition. She has a career of working within international art institutions, and more recently was the co-curator of the Coimbra Biennial in Portugal in 2021 and a curatorial assistant of the 28th São Paulo Biennial.
As a collective, they will be responsible for forming the biennial programme for 2024 in Barcelona. Read more to see the full list:
The Manifesta 15 Artistic Team will be assembling a transdisciplinary programme, and concurrently, forging institutional collaborations with major cultural organisations in Barcelona and the wider region.
