Manifesta purposely strives to keep its distance from what are often seen as the dominant centres of artistic production, instead seeking fresh and fertile terrain for the mapping of a new cultural topography.

Manifesta 13 Marseille was one of the only international biennials to take place during the global pandemic COVID-19, the biennial ended earlier than planned due to the second national lockdown

Public programme at Centro Párraga and Molinos del Río-Caballerizas in Murcia and Museo Regional de Arte Moderno (MURAM) and Prisión de San Antón in Cartagena

As part of Manifesta 8, Wooloo organised a visually limited residency programme for artists. For one week, five selected artists lived and worked in a dark, visually distorted exhibition space. Each artist collaborated with a local visually impaired guide to create a tour of their living space. On the last day the blacked-out space was opened to visitors.
