In this constructed situation a human figure moved slowly on the floor, interpreting positions of the human body copied from the early films and videotapes of Bruce Nauman and Dan Graham. Through this temporary and immaterial artwork, the German artist Tino Sehgal challenged the conventions of museum practice and the concept of the artwork as a commercial object, and explored the ideas of intellectual property and the role of the maker. It was one of the first performances of the artist at an international biennial.
