Manifesta purposely strives to keep its distance from what are often seen as the dominant centres of artistic production, instead seeking fresh and fertile terrain for the mapping of a new cultural topography.

Installation at Museo San Telmo
The artist has built a private iconography of forms, sculptures and images that are constantly repeated and recombined. In his project for Manifesta 5 he transformed an existing exhibition gallery into a living space in which fabricated and illusionistic objects were consciously positioned so as to chart an imaginary voyage around a room.
